Residential Services

Phillips Group Home, Oktibbeha County

The goal of the Community Living Services,Phillips Group Home, is to provide support and training for individuals with mental retardation/developmental disabilities through supported living arrangements in an effort to increase an individual’s ability to be as self-sufficient and as independent as possible while actively participating in their community. A secondary goal of Phillips Group Home is to assist and facilitate the transition of individuals to a less restrictive living environment when the resident has met and/or exceeded all habilitation goals and objectives and chooses to move into new residence. In the event of an individual’s recent or past history of de-compensation from internal stressors, external stressors, or even mental illness, the goals for that individual may allow him/her to remain in the community living program with increased supports, rather than being placed in a more restrictive environment. For additional information please contact Wanda Parks, Program Supervisor by calling 323-2394

Transitional Living, Oktibbeha County

Community Counseling Services Supervised Housing Services is a program designed to provide support to adults that are seriously mentally ill.  Many of these adults have not had the opportunity to live independently in their home communities. These clients will need a supportive environment with intensive traditional services, such as case management, individual, group, family, and day treatment services, that will reduce the chances they will decompensate or require hospitalization.  The Supervised Housing Services program will provide the least restrictive environment, while providing the necessary support services needed to maintain the clients in the community. This community inclusion program will provide the individuals an increased sense of self-worth, independence, and value, as contributing members of the community. For additional information please contact the Starkville Office of Community Counseling Services by calling 323-9318.
