Mental Health Services
Case Management Services
Providing linkage and referral for client to other services available in the communities. Medical Services
With psychiatrists and nurses on staff serving the seven county area for clients who, as part of their overall treatment, are on medication. The medical services staff also provides education and training for staff and clients.
Psychosocial Rehabilitation(PSR)
Is a clubhouse model of rehabilitation for individuals diagnosed with a serious mental illness. The goal of the clubhouse model is to help individuals with mental illness to stay out of hospitals while achieving social, financial, and vocational goals. The club house is a place that offers respect and opportunity to its members. Membership is voluntary and without time limits. Membership is open to anyone with a history of mental illness, unless that person poses a significant and current threat to the general safety of the clubhouse community. Members choose the way they utilize the clubhouse, and the staff with whom they work. All members have equal access to every clubhouse opportunity with no differentiation based on diagnosis or level of functioning. PSR programs are operated in all 7 counties. Magnolia Program for Children
Magnolia Day Treatment Program is a therapeutic day treatment which services children between ages 5 through 12 who exhibit emotional and or behavioral problems, which are viewed as a medical necessity. Magnolia Day treatment Program is an alternative to residential placement, hospitalization and judicature, and it helps aid individuals making the transition from day treatment services to maintenance with the community. Back On Track Program
Back on Track is a therapeutic day treatment program to junior high/ middle school students who exhibit emotional and or behavioral problems, which are viewed as a medical necessity. Back on Track Treatment Program is an alternative to residential placement, hospitalization, and judicature, and it helps aid individuals making the transition from Back on Track Treatment Services to maintenance within the community just as Magnolia Day Treatment does for children 5 to 12 years of age. Adolescent Offender Program
For first time juvenile offenders as an alternative to training school. Elderly Services Provides elderly day services for individuals aged 50 and above. The purpose of the program is to improve participants’ level of functioning, allowing them to remain in the community instead of premature placement in nursing homes or other institutional settings. Activities are designed to promote personal growth and enhance the self-image of participants and/or maintain and improve their functioning level to the maximum extend possible. These activities will be carefully planned for each participant based on his/her individual strengths, needs and preferences. Elderly Day Services are committed to individual growth and maximizing one’s abilities in a respectful, dignified and compassionate atmosphere.Day treatment services for the elderly are available in Choctaw, Clay, Lowndes, Noxubee, and Oktibbeha counties. Making A Plan Team Making A Plan (M.A.P.) Team. M.A.P. addresses the needs of children, up to 21 years of age with serious emotional/behavioral disorders, including, but not limited to, conduct disorders, or mental illness, who require services from multiple agencies and multiple program system, and who can be successfully diverted from inappropriate institutional placement. M.A.P. insures that children/youth receive all available essential services, that the team has a uniform core of representatives from basic public services in order to benefit children with serious emotional disorders.
