Alcohol and Drug Treatment

Cady Hill
Residential treatment for 12 women with chemical dependency problems. The course of treatment for both of the above programs is typically 42 days and is tailored according to client needs. Treatment at the residential programs consists of daily educational lectures, group and individual therapy, and family therapy. Assistance with admission and required fee is offered. Aftercare Services
Are also provided as an important part of treatment. This may last two years and may include a shelter plus care component. Intensive Outpatient Program Fifteen weeks for individuals with chemical dependency problems not needing inpatient services. Treatment consists of 10 hours of therapy per week, completion of steps 1-5 of 12-Step Recovery Program, aftercare for continuing support. CART House A comprehensive alcohol and drug residential treatment facility for adolescent males ages 11-18. The Robinson Abbott Center The Robinson Abbott Center offers adult and adolescent outpatient alcohol and drug treatment services. Located on the corner of Court and Broad Street in West Point, Mississippi, the Robinson Abbott Center offers affordable treatment in a comfortable, confidential environment. The Robinson Abbott Center provides individualized treatment designed to improve the quality of life of participants, family members, and the community. Outpatient services often allow an individual to maintain work, school, and/or family responsibilities while receiving treatment. The treatment options that are offered by the Robinson Abbott Center include: Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) IOP consists of group, individual, and family therapy. Groups meet on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm and from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Group members can choose to attend the morning or evening group. Hour long individual therapy sessions will be shceduled once a week at a time that is convenient for the individual and the therapist. Family sessions can be scheduled at the group member's request or at the therapist's recommendation. Additionally, each group member will be expected to attend one self-help group per week. Random drug screens monitor any use of alcohol and/or drugs. In some situations, it is mandatory that results be reported to probation officers, the legal system, EAP Coordinator, etc. Two years of Aftercare services are available to all group members that complete IOP. The aftercare groups meet on Monday at 9:00 am and 5:30 om. Individuals can choose to attend the morning or evening aftercare group. In addition, individuals can choose to continue individual and family therapy if needed. Adolescent Alcohol and Drug Treatment The Robinson Abbott Center offers outpatient alcohol and drug treatment for adolescents. Adolescents ages 12 to 17 are eligible for an alcohol and drug assessment and for participation in outpatient alcohol and drug treatment if needed. Structured Intervention (SI) SI is a 10 week DUI program that is certified by the Department of Mental Health. The program meets on Wednesday from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. To qualify for this program, the individual must have been charged with a 2nd or subsequent offense DUI. By attending and completing SI, the participant my be eligible to have the license suspension reduced to a minimum of 12 months. In order to complete the SI program, the individual must demonstrate insight into his or her alcohol and/or drug use. The individual will be expected to verbalize issues that have contributed to and resulted from the use and abuse of alcohol and/or drugs. All individuals will be given the opportunity for individual counseling, if the need arises.
