Each week, medication clinics are provided in all seven counties to assess the need for medication and monitoring the therapeutic effects of medication prescribed for mental health purposes. These services are provided to individuals with serious mental illness, severe emotionally disturbance, substance abuse issues, and/or intellectual and developmental disabilities. These clinics consist of a nursing assessment conducted by a registered nurse and an evaluation conducted by the psychiatrist. Medical staff is also utilized to provide education for staff relating to commonly used psychotropic medications and potential side effects.

Medical services are available to individuals with Medicaid, Medicare, VA, Tricare, most private insurances and to people without insurance. (Their fees will be based on a sliding fee schedule based on household income.)These services are available in all of our seven counties: Choctaw, Clay, Noxubee, Lowndes, Oktibbeha, Webster, and Winston.
